Meet John Roope, the Founder, CEO, and mastermind behind WIDSIX. John is somewhat of a rebel in the context of the stuffy, corporate drudgery that the business world has embraced. His iconoclast spirit is reflected in the company he built from the ground up, and his goal is to revolutionize the way we do business in the industry.

From family, friends and a handful of professionals to 350+ clients-turned-friends, 3,500+ projects, and 16 years strong (and counting!), John and his team are shaking things up and getting shit done.

Now John is leveraging his years of experience and plugging in with companies as a remote CMO or as a marketing consultant - helping businesses and high net-worth individuals maximize their marketing efforts.

Why WIDSIX?

Channeling his creative side and love for entrepreneurship, John formed 2 successful online businesses. And like most startup companies, he hired an advertising agency to do some of the marketing and back-end work. But he quickly realized they were overselling him and under delivering — big time.

Out of frustration, John started taking on the job himself, and was surprised to find that he was pretty damn good at it. So much so, that friends and family started to take notice of what he was doing, loved it, and started paying him to do their advertising work.

During this time, John was still employed as a full-time “nerd”, working on servers, storage, network admin, etc. But whenever he had a free moment, he was pouring himself into building up WIDSIX. And after 9 years, he finally decided to take the plunge, leave the nerd-life behind, and dedicate himself completely to the company.

What's Next? Elite + SCTS

Experience in website design, website development, graphic design, UX/UI, business processes, training, and software development has led to more opportunities outside of web/marketing - the first projects launched in late 2023: Elite Content Solutions (software development) & Strategic Calibration Training Systems (online training platform).

Hustle Beginnings

The passion and energy behind WIDSIX manifested itself very early on. On snow days, most kids were celebrating the opportunity to sleep in or play games instead of going to school. John, on the other hand, was celebrating the opportunity to capitalize on his newfound free time by shoveling driveways to get that loot. And whether it be hustling on those snow days, reselling newspapers in front of the store (when people used to buy newspapers), or setting up random merch stands with friends (impromptu lemonade stand style), young Johnny Roope was always looking for an opportunity to flex his entrepreneurial drive.

John credits a lot of his tenacity to “growing up broke.” He says it kept him humble, and allowed him to remain upbeat in the face of adversity. It’s that pervasive positive mindset and drive that allowed WIDSIX to blossom into what it is today.
